Business NSW is an organisation that many will be familiar with. It’s a not-for-profit organisation that started as the Sydney Chamber of Commerce in 1826.
Its mission is to provide a voice for businesses on the issues important to their livelihood. Business NSW members now form part of a network of more than 200 Chambers of Commerce across the state.
In March this year, OCTEC lodged entries in two categories in the Western NSW Business Awards – the Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion category and the Outstanding Community Organisation category.
Finalists were decided in late April with OCTEC announced as a finalist in both categories. The Gala Ceremony and award presentation was held on May 31st.
As a Regional Winner, OCTEC will now proceed as a category finalist into the State Business Awards which will be held in Sydney on 30th October at the International Convention Centre.
Board Member Bruce Hansen attended and accepted the Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion Award on OCTEC’s behalf!
