Caleb secures mechanic apprenticeship

Caleb returned to OCTEC Transition to Work (TtW) in Griffith after his lack of confidence prevented him from fully committing to the service the first time around. With financial insecurity, he knew he had to get his life on track.

In his second time, Caleb met with TtW Career Consultant Skye. Determined to find an apprenticeship, Skye assisted Caleb with job preparation until his confidence grew.

Skye later connected Caleb to an Australian Apprentice Support Centre which had a mechanic apprenticeship vacancy. He was successful in securing the role. In his new job, OCTEC supported him with the purchase of safety gear and tools. Caleb’s apprenticeship support officer praised him for his workplace performance and reliability.

Caleb embraced his new role with enthusiasm and dedication, quickly becoming an integral part of the team.

“I was looking for an apprenticeship and I was determined to make it a success. As time went on, I could feel my confidence growing.”
