As the nation’s largest not-for-profit provider of Disability Employer Services, we have launched the OCTEC National Employer Awards and OCTEC National Community Awards to recognise businesses and organisations we partner with.
We also are recognising the outstanding achievements by resilient NDIS participants. There are amazing achievers in Queensland, New South Wales, the ACT and Victoria.
Our relationships with employers are crucial regardless of service type. Disability Employment Services (DES) teams are able to assist those living with disability realise their career goals, while enabling local businesses to meet their specific labour needs, allowing them to grow and thrive.
The OCTEC National Employer Awards recognise organisations of all sizes, and from all sectors, that have realised the benefits of employing people with disability.
We work alongside many household brands such as Woolworths and Bunnings, as well as smaller mum and dad businesses. Regardless of the size of business, employers are simply looking for reliable staff they can trust and who are looking to work.
Partnerships with community organisations are just as important. Participants face many barriers, which can be complex. Our efforts to assist are magnified when we work with others and is reflected in Participant success.
The OCTEC National Community Awards recognise outstanding care sector organisations that have shared their compassion and expertise to assist people with disability on a career pathway.
NDIS participants come to OCTEC looking for work, with DES consultants assisting them to secure real jobs they enjoy, and can lead to a meaningful career.
